Water & Yoga

It's has been a fairly good start. After making my goals I started to drink water regularly out of this mason jar that I have a strange affection for. My bestie worked at a juice bar in downtown LA and once gave me the most delicious drink to go in it... was...

* Grapefruit * Carrot * Lime * Ginger *
SO GOOD!

I know its weird to have crazy love for a mason jar but looking at it just makes me want to fill it back up with delicious goodness... and lacking that WATER. In the last post I was trying to drink 1 liter of water a day. I realized the next day that a liter is a little over four cups so that goal is bumped up to 2 liters. My mason jar is 2 cups in volume. I just drink 4 jars worth of water and I'm good. It's super easy!

Progress! I want to get juicing again. So sweet and tart and all things goooood.

There is a donation YOGA class in Golden Gate park on Saturdays. I've been a few times but I want to make it a regular thing. This time the grass was wet from rain the night before but everyone in the city was out. There was some sort of human bowling game wrapping up as class was starting. The instructor is this really cute girl. I think she's from New Zealand. Kinda seemed like she was distracted this time but its still really fun. She does awesome moves that I don't really get in other classes. Like the rock star move below called Camatkarasana but we do it on one knee.

Waking up early is getting slowly better. I think the key is making plans for the morning.
As well I keep waking up before my alarm but wanting to go back to bed. Ahhhh!

When you wake up, wake up! It's healthy!

The Skinny

I'm at at the beginning of my 30s now and have never been super healthy. Honestly, I still look decent regardless of how much bullshite I put my body through but my zip is gone. It is bad. Once a day I say to myself "Maybe you do have mono."

I've done a few diets in my life (WW, master cleanse, snake juice(diet pills), raw, gluten free) some were for fun, some were environmental and the most unhealthy ones were for support of other women. The Master Cleanse really helped me out a few years ago when I was getting chronically sick. I felt clean and like my metabolism got a jump start. I might try it again when I have a little bit of money. Distilled water and a lot of organic lemons are surprisingly not cheap if you are living off them for two weeks. Plus what I need now is STRENGTH and habits that will continue for the duration of my life.

Being skinny is not the goal here. Now I just really need to be strong and healthy to get this body to my 40s.

I'm currently super broke so I can't be buying organic awesomeness, going to the gym or yoga classes so I need to get creative.

It is the time to be healthy with what is out there around me(free). It is a challenge.

Goals:
  • To exercise everyday on my own without classes (Morning yoga on my rooftop! Jogging in the park! Walking everywhere!!!)
  • Getting up early for a jump on the day
  • Eating some sort of healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Drinking a liter of water a day
They say if you want to make a life change you should start simple. It's not like one day you're going to wake up and successfully change everything about yourself...
For instance, last night I set my alarm for 8am so I could get a jump on a new life of change and the battle against fatassery but I hit snooze and slept in later that I usually do.
So, the additional another step is to forgive myself and try again tomorrow.
I'm looking for some instant motivation for the mornings. Alarm clocks start a weird vicious cycle with me.

Suggestions are welcome!

Alright lets do this!
